Chapter 252: Remnant World
Chapter 252: Remnant World
But according to the memories Lily extracted from the Demonized Monsters, including the Fourth-Order Magic Eagle, every single one of them described the Remnant World in the same way.
Boundless.
There might have been some exaggeration in those descriptions.
But even so, it still clearly demonstrated one thing.
The Remnant World was unimaginably vast, far beyond anything the Black Planet could possibly compare to.
One had merely been a Small Calamity.
The other was a true Medium Calamity.
Moreover, the Remnant World itself was only a lower-tier Disaster world originating from the supermassive Disaster known as the Abyss.
Even among Medium Calamities, it was likely considered top-tier.
Still, Noah wasn’t discouraged.
He continued attempting ascension again and again.
Finally, after skipping past the worlds he had previously sensed, a new world suddenly appeared within Noah’s perception.
That world radiated incomparably dense black light and overwhelming evil.
Noah’s eyes immediately lit up.
By now, he had already discovered a pattern.
Within his senses, all Calamity Worlds appeared dark, corrupted, and filled with evil intent.
Without question, this was another Calamity World.
Moreover, the malice and corruption emitted by this world far surpassed that of the Black Planet.
The difference between the two wasn’t even on the same level.
Clearly, even if this world wasn’t the Remnant World itself, it was almost certainly at least a Medium Calamity.
"Travel."
Without the slightest hesitation, Noah immediately began the ascension process.
After the transit ended, Noah immediately looked around.
He saw a boundless black ocean stretching endlessly into the distance, with infinite demonic energy surging above its surface.
"Demonic energy... thus is a remnant world."
Noah’s heart trembled, he had finally arrived in this world.
Just as those Demonized Monsters had described, the Remnant World was truly boundless. The black ocean below was unimaginably vast, far beyond Noah’s field of vision.
Countless black dots were scattered across the ocean, each one representing a World Shard.
Noah noticed that these World Shards were not stationary within the black ocean but drifted slowly. Whenever one approached another nearby World Shard, a brutal war would erupt between them. The defeated side would suffer heavy casualties, while the victor’s World Shard would devour the loser’s, becoming larger and causing the demonic energy within it to grow denser.
"Level one, level one, level two..."
Activating Insight, Noah swept his gaze downward.
On the black ocean below him, there was a level four World Shard. This World Shard was no smaller than a Country on Blue Star. Centered around it, a large number of level one, level two, and level three World Shards were scattered across the surrounding sea within a radius of tens of thousands of kilometers. These World Shards were constantly conquering one another.
"Indeed, war is the main theme of the Remnant World."
These Demonized Monsters were not only brutal in external wars but also ruthless in their internal conflicts.
Noah’s arrival did not attract the attention of the Demonized Monsters below. Seeing this, Noah was slightly surprised. It was understandable that the Demonized Monsters had failed to notice him since he was not releasing his powerful aura, but the Disaster Will should not have overlooked his presence.
When he had entered that Small Calamity before, he was immediately discovered by the Disaster Will, which controlled the strange goat in space to attack him.
"Could it be that the Disaster Will of the Remnant World is simply too powerful? Perhaps the area it governs is so vast that it cannot monitor every corner at all times. Without releasing any aura, to it, I am no more than a speck of dust, so it never noticed me?" Noah considered this possibility.
Clearly, the Disaster Will of the Remnant World and the Disaster Will of the Black Planet were not on the same level.
As for being ignored, Noah felt no dissatisfaction.
For a Medium Calamity like the Remnant World, he certainly did not want to begin fighting the moment he arrived. Gathering sufficient intelligence before taking action was undoubtedly the wiser approach.
As Noah looked farther into the distance, his body suddenly trembled.
He saw a massive Black Celestial Pillar descending from the heavens, and beneath that Black Celestial Pillar lay an unimaginably vast continent.
Noah had no idea how far away he currently was from the Black Celestial Pillar and that continent. Yet the fact that he could still see them clearly proved just how enormous they truly were.
Perhaps even the Black Planet, where the Small Calamity had existed, was nothing more than a speck of dust before them.
Immediately, Noah decided on the direction of his exploration. He rapidly flew toward the continent.
To avoid attracting the attention of the Disaster Will, Noah did not immediately accelerate to his full speed. Instead, he gradually increased his velocity: ten times the speed of sound, twenty times the speed of sound...
When he accelerated to one hundred times the speed of sound and continued to increase further, Noah keenly sensed a trace of malice spreading through the surrounding space.
Hundreds of kilometers away, on a level-five World Shard no smaller than the Moon’s surface area, furious roars suddenly erupted. Immediately afterward, several figures emitting powerful auras broke through the air and flew toward Noah’s location.
Seeing this, Noah did not hesitate. He instantly changed the nature of his pure energy and forcibly detached himself from the Remnant World.
He felt no regret.
Although it had been difficult to locate the Remnant World initially, now that he had entered it once and left behind traces of his presence, sensing it again in the future would not be nearly as difficult.
Naturally, those fifth-order Demonized Monsters failed to find their target. Their thoughts were not directly controlled by the Disaster Will; they had merely received a warning from it and came to investigate. Finding nothing unusual, they quickly lost interest.
The Remnant World was simply too vast. Strange occurrences were commonplace there. Even if outsiders truly invaded, it was nothing extraordinary.
"It seems that exceeding one hundred times the speed of sound will attract the attention of the Disaster Will of the Remnant World."
After returning to Blue Star, Noah remained calm.
