Chapter 131 Developing the First New Location
Chapter 131 Developing the First New Location
The door slammed shut, shutting out the cool night breeze from the courtyard outside.
Bai Si'an was still being pulled by the arm, and he swayed for a moment before regaining his balance.
He pushed up his slightly slipped glasses, looked at Lin Weiwei who was looking excited, and slowly smiled.
"So eager?" His voice was low, carrying a hint of relaxation from just finishing his work, and a clear sense of teasing.
Lin Weiwei immediately understood. She let go of his arm and pinched his cheek.
I didn't use much force; I just pinched a little bit of skin with my fingertips and twisted it gently.
"What are you thinking!" She glared at him, her eyes sparkling in the dim kerosene lamplight. "I didn't mean that... you know! I was just making room for Wanwan and your leader, creating some alone time for them, understand?"
Bai Si'an let her pinch him without flinching, but his eyes followed her.
She chattered on and on, describing how Su Wanwan nodded, blushed, and said in a soft voice that she "wanted to sleep next to him." The more she talked, the more excited she became, as if she had accomplished something incredible.
He just listened, then stretched out his arm and pulled the person firmly into his embrace.
Lin Weiwei was saying, "There's definitely going to be something tonight," when she suddenly bumped into his chest, and her voice stopped abruptly.
Her head was pressed against his military shirt, and she could hear his steady heartbeat inside, one beat after another.
The faint smell of engine oil on his body, mixed with a clean scent of soap, reached my nose.
She waited for a while, but didn't hear him speak.
"Hey, did you hear me?" She rubbed her forehead against his chin.
Still no sound.
Lin Weiwei looked up at him, a little puzzled.
Bai Si'an was looking down at her.
The glow of the kerosene lamp shone from his side and behind, and the lenses of his glasses reflected light, obscuring his eyes, but softening the contours of his entire face.
Her lips were pursed, she wasn't smiling, but that expression... Lin Weiwei's heart suddenly skipped a beat.
He was so focused on his gaze that his eyes were deep and intense, like two small flames burning quietly within them, making her cheeks feel hot.
"What are you looking at..." she muttered softly, raising her hand to lightly pat his arm. "I'm talking to you, why aren't you saying anything? All you do is stare."
Bai Si'an grasped the hand that was slapping her, his fingers threading through hers and clasping hers tightly.
"I don't want to talk," he said, his voice low and hoarse.
"So what do you want to do?" Lin Weiwei asked subconsciously, then regretted it as soon as she asked.
"think……"
Bai Si'an didn't answer, but showed her directly through his actions.
He lowered his head and kissed her.
He took her lower lip into his mouth, sucked on it gently, and then pried open her teeth.
Lin Weiwei made a soft "Mmm" sound, and was kissed so hard that she leaned her head back, but her waist was firmly held by his arms, and she couldn't move.
She was still clutching the front of his shirt, the fabric crumpled into a ball from her grip.
The flame of the kerosene lamp flickered.
The room was quiet, except for the sound of their intertwined breathing, damp and sticky.
After a while, Bai Si'an stepped back slightly, his nose touching hers, panting.
Lin Weiwei was also panting, her lips were moist and a little numb.
She looked into his eyes, which were so close to hers, and the two flames burned even brighter.
"You..." She only managed to utter one word.
Bai Si'an kissed him again.
This time it was even fiercer, as if it was trying to make up for the kisses it hadn't had enough of earlier.
He put his arm around her waist and moved forward step by step. Lin Weiwei was pulled backward by him, her knees touching the edge of the bed, and she sat down abruptly.
Bai Si'an pressed down on her, supporting himself on his hands beside her, and moved his kisses from her lips to her chin, and then to her neck.
Lin Weiwei felt a wet and itchy sensation on her neck, and couldn't help but shrug her shoulders and place her hand on his chest.
"Wait...wait..." she said breathlessly, "The door...the door isn't locked..."
Bai Si'an paused for a moment, raised his head, and glanced at the thin wooden door.
Outside the door was a dark courtyard, but the lights were on in the next house, and you could vaguely see shadowy figures moving around.
He frowned, finding the place utterly boring.
Suddenly, as if he remembered something, his eyes lit up.
"Let's go." He said, releasing Lin Weiwei, straightening up, and pulling her up as well.
Lin Weiwei was dazed by his tugging, her hair was a little messy, and her collar was also ripped open a bit.
"Where are you going? It's so late..."
Bai Si'an didn't say much, but simply took her hand tightly, opened the door, and walked straight out.
The moonlight in the courtyard was much brighter than inside the house, casting a cool, clear glow across the ground.
The window of Bai Rongbei's room next door was closed, but a warm yellow light shone through the window paper. Two figures were standing very close together, quietly.
Bai Si'an glanced at it, a slight smile playing on his lips. He then took Lin Weiwei's hand and tiptoed across the courtyard, opened the fence gate, and went outside.
The military camp's family quarters are very quiet at night.
On both sides of the dirt road were rows of similar single-story houses and courtyards, most of the windows were dark, with only a few lights still on.
Bai Si'an walked quickly, and Lin Weiwei had to jog to keep up. The night breeze on her face dispelled some of her drowsiness.
"Where are we going?" She tugged at his hand. "Back to the tech lab? There's nowhere to sleep there."
"I'm not going back there." Bai Si'an continued walking and turned into a narrower side road.
Lin Weiwei hadn't walked this road much before; the courtyards on both sides looked older, like family housing built some time ago.
Finally, he stopped in front of a small courtyard that looked like it had been abandoned for a long time.
The gate to the courtyard was ajar; the lock was broken and hanging on the door frame.
The yard was dark, and the weeds were half a person tall.
"Where...where is this?" Lin Weiwei peered inside, feeling a little apprehensive.
"The dormitory that was assigned to me before, I moved to because I injured my leg and was transferred to the technical department."
Bai Si'an pushed open the creaking wooden door and led her inside. "This house is in a remote location and has been empty for a long time."
He skillfully navigated around the overgrown weeds and walked to the side of the house.
There was a simple wooden ladder against the wall leading to a low attic on the roof.
The attic looked like a shed for storing odds and ends, with the windows tightly closed.
"Let's go up and take a look," Bai Si'an said, stepping onto the ladder first.
The wooden ladder is quite old; it creaks when you step on it.
He tested it and found it to be fairly sturdy, then turned around and reached out to Lin Weiwei.
Lin Weiwei looked at the dark attic, then at his outstretched hand, and her curiosity overcame her fear.
She grabbed his hand and carefully climbed up.
The attic was cleaner than I had imagined, with not much dust.
The place wasn't big, only a few square meters, and there was a bed sheet on the floor.
The roof is sloping, and you have to bend over at the lowest point.
Bai Si'an walked to the small wooden window and pushed it hard. The window was a little rusty, and he had to use some effort to open it.
With a "splash," the clear moonlight rushed in instantly, as if a ladle of mercury had been poured into the dim attic.
