Chapter 510 - 17: Jinghuan Fairy, Daluo Immortals (Part 2)
Chapter 510 - 17: Jinghuan Fairy, Daluo Immortals (Part 2)
He arrived at a place he had never set foot in before.
There he saw red railings, white stones, green trees, and clear streams, truly a place seldom tread by humans, untouched by flying dust.
Zhou Chen admired the scenery here, and suddenly heard the sound of heavenly music coming from behind the mountain:
"Spring dreams scatter with the clouds, flying flowers drift with the water. To all young lovers, why seek idle sorrows?"
Zhou Chen looked up and saw an exceptionally beautiful woman stepping out, gracefully and elegantly, truly different from others.
Unparalleled beauty, unmatched elegance.
Her celestial robes fluttered, exuding a rich fragrance of musk and orchid; as her attire seemed to move, the jingle of her ornaments could be heard.
Her cheeks were like spring peaches, with a layered green jade bun;
Her lips, like blooming cherries, revealing teeth delicate as pomegranate seeds, fragrant within.
Her slender waist moved gracefully, like wind swirling snow;
Her jewelry and the gleam of her forehead brought forth an ecru yellow shine.
Zhou Chen’s gaze flickered as he smiled and said:
"Immortal Sister, where do you come from, and where are you going?"
"I reside above Li Hen Heaven, within the Sea of Sorrow, and am indeed the Fairy Jinghuan of the Fangchun Mountain and Incense Cave, Taixu Illusion Realm."
"I am in charge of the debts of romance and temperaments in the human world, overseeing the grievances of worldly women and obsessions of men. Recently, due to the entanglements of romantic karma in this place, I came to investigate and disseminate longing."
"This sudden encounter with you is no coincidence. The Wind and Moon Treasure Mirror is mine, and I felt your enlightenment and transformation to an Immortal, so I came to congratulate you."
"This place is not far from my realm, with nothing else but a cup of self-picked celestial tea, a jar of homemade fine wine, a few enchantresses skilled in dance and song, and twelve newly composed celestial tunes of the ’Dream of the Red Chamber’. Would you like to join me for a journey?"
"Alright!"
Zhou Chen nodded with a smile. He didn’t believe her words, but he roughly guessed her identity, suspecting she was the spirit of the Wind and Moon Treasure Mirror.
Zhou Chen wasn’t in a hurry; he leisurely followed the Fairy Jinghuan to a place where a stone tablet stood with the inscription "Taixu Illusion Realm" in four large characters.
On either side was a couplet reading:
"When false seems true, true becomes false; in nothingness, there is existence, yet in existence, there returns to nothingness."
Turning past the archway, there was a palace gate, inscribed with four large characters:
"Sea of Passion, Heaven of Tenderness."
There was another couplet, written grandly:
"Ancient and modern affections are endless in deep earth and high heaven."
"Lamenting the endless debts of romance, pitiful are the grievances of passionate men and resentful women."
"It’s just like the scene when Baoyu entered the Taixu Illusion Realm in the ’Dream of the Red Chamber’!"
Zhou Chen surveyed his surroundings and followed the Fairy Jinghuan into the second doorway, reaching the wings on both sides, all with plaques and couplets, too many to take in at once, but he noticed a few places were inscribed with:
"The Bureau of Passion," "The Bureau of Grudges," "The Bureau of Dawn Weeping," "The Bureau of Night Resentment," "The Bureau of Spring Sentiment," "The Bureau of Autumn Sadness."
"The Bureau of Destined Calamity":
"Spring grievances, autumn sorrows are self-induced; whose beauty adorns such flower-like face and moon-like beauty?"
Zhou Chen glanced briefly, not interested in these things.
He gazed at the Fairy Jinghuan’s voluptuous and graceful figure. Isn’t this more appealing than other beautiful scenery?
The Fairy Jinghuan took delicate steps and led Zhou Chen to the back, adorned with pearl curtains and embroidered screens, painted beams and carved eaves, indescribable were the glitter on the vermilion gates and golden floors, snow-bright jade windows, a palace made of jade.
Furthermore, there were fragrant fairy flowers, exotic grasses, indeed a good place.
The Fairy Jinghuan smiled and said, "Come out and greet the esteemed guest!"
Before her words had even faded, a few fairies emerged from the room, all with fluttering lotus sleeves, dancing feather garments, lovely as spring flowers, charming as the autumn moon.
"I have seen you, young master!"
"No need for formalities!"
Zhou Chen observed the crowd of fairies, his eyes gleaming.
He could feel that including the Fairy Jinghuan, these fairies all had at least the cultivation of a Celestial Immortal; if he could gain them, wouldn’t he soar to the heavens immediately?
Amidst the support of these women, Zhou Chen followed the Fairy Jinghuan into the room.
A faint fragrance wafted in, refreshing the heart and mind, as if transforming into an Immortal.
"This aroma is made from the essence of blooming flowers in various famous mountains and beautiful places, combined with oils from various precious forests and pearl trees, called ’Essence of Hundred Blossoms’."
Zhou Chen nodded and sat with the Fairy Jinghuan.
A little maid brought tea, the tea clear and crystalline, with an extraordinary fragrance, pure and beautiful.
Zhou Chen took a sip of tea and praised:
"Good tea!"
"This tea comes from the Fangchun Mountain and Incense Cave, brewed with the dew from the celestial flowers and spiritual leaves. This tea is called ’Thousand Red Cave’."
Zhou Chen nodded in appreciation.
Thousand Red Cave!
Thousand Red Weep!
What a good name.
He glanced around; zithers, precious tripods, ancient paintings, new poems, there was everything, with a couplet hanging on the wall:
"In this place, ethereal and exquisite, even heaven cannot help but sigh."
After drinking tea, he drank wine.
The jade liquor filled the glass cup, poured into the amber cup.
This wine was fragrant and sweet, extraordinary indeed.
The Fairy Jinghuan introduced, "This wine is brewed with the essence of hundreds of flowers, the juice of ten thousand trees, combined with the fermentation of unicorn marrow, and the curd of phoenix milk, hence named ’Ten Thousand Beauties Sharing the Cup’."
"Thousand Red Weep, Ten Thousand Beauties Sorrow Together, truly a good tea and good wine!"
Zhou Chen praised.
A few accompanying fairies also reported their names.
One was Dreaming Immortal Fairy, another was Great Master Zhongqing, another was Golden Maiden of Sorrow, and another was Duhen Bodhi, each with a different title.
Zhou Chen drank tea, drank wine, and discussed the Dao with them.
A proper discussion of the Dao.
This Dao, not that Dao.
While drinking, twelve dancers came forward, dancing and playing music.
"At the beginning of chaos, who was the seed of love? All just the deep emotions of romance. Amidst this helpless heaven, the wounded days, the lonely times, try to dispel foolish feelings..."
Zhou Chen listened to the music, watched the dance, drank tea, savored wine, thoroughly enjoying himself.
The only minor imperfection was.
His Giant Sun Dharma Aspect which could not be placed needed a serene, deep place to be accommodated.
However, by now.
Zhou Chen had already grasped quite a bit.
The Wind and Moon Treasure Mirror is a wondrous treasure, Fairy Jinghuan is its spirit, naturally holding the highest status, followed by Dreaming Immortal Fairy, Great Master Zhongqing, Golden Maiden of Sorrow, and Duhen Bodhi.
They should be powerful beings born from the Wind and Moon Treasure Mirror, with the strongest foundations, their cultivation second only to Fairy Jinghuan.
The little maid and these twelve dancers were evidently the same, only their foundations were not as strong as the four of Dreaming Immortal Fairy.
